Darbus

Rescued from a recent cruelty case, Darbus is ready to leave the past behind and find a loving home full of play, patience and care! Darbus is a playful, social young pup who loves people — both new and familiar! He’ll often lean in for pets and affection, though he can be a little head-shy at times, occasionally startling with quick movements. That said, he recovers quickly and usually comes right back to seek out more attention.

This toy-loving boy is always ready for fun! Darbus enjoys showing off his toys, playing fetch and happily trades them for a treat or another toy. He’ll bounce from one toy to the next, making his own fun and inviting you to join in.

In dog playgroups, Darbus has shown friendly and wiggly greetings. He enjoys rough-and-tumble play and likes engaging in body contact. He has also shown some mounting behavior, which is being managed with positive handler intervention and will likely decrease after his upcoming neuter.

While he occasionally startles at loud noises or fast movements — likely due to limited early socialization — Darbus is resilient and continues to grow in confidence every day.
